Glasses Museum

Fukui Prefecture is a production center of eyeglasses with a share of over 90% of the frames produced in Japan. Glasses made by craftsmen who have inherited traditional skills are one of Japan's outstanding manufacturing techniques. The eyeglasses museum is packed with everything related to eyeglasses, which have continued to evolve over the course of over 9 years of history. Inside the eyeglasses museum, you can learn more about the history of eyeglasses through the enthusiastic explanations given by a knowledgeable grandpa, browse through the Eyeglasses Shop where you can purchase the latest models of Made in SABAE glasses, and visit the workshop where you can experience making eyeglasses by hand.
