Kinkori Shikkiten

Kinkori Shikkiten is a long-established lacquerware store founded 91 years ago. Since April 2019, we have set up a workshop in the same facility as TSUGI, and anyone can observe the work of the veteran lacquer craftsmen Kinkori brothers at any time. They also sell dead stock items such as lacquerware that had been sleeping in the warehouse, and the “chopstick rest like object (¥100)” made from paper that has been filtered through lacquer is particularly popular. In addition, at the lacquer painting workshop held on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, you can choose from bowls, trays, and Echizen ware cups and try your hand at lacquering while listening to a lecture directly from Mr. Kinkori. The older brother, Masataka Kinkori, is good at talking and can easily open up to people. His younger brother, Shoji, is a little shy, but once you get used to him, he gives you ohagi and is a very warm person.
