The bookstore cafe "Fuji Bookstore", located a 5 minute walk from Sabae Station, is a book cafe that has been renovated and opened in the Spring of 2019 from a bookstore that has been in operation since 1955. With the atmosphere of an old-fashioned bookstore and because of the renovation, Fuji Bookstore is loved by both regulars and newcomers as a "town bookstore." In fact, it was once used as a filming location for the movie Chihayafuru. The books range from magazines and comics to books that the owner, Mr. Yamamoto likes, and books recommended by customers. In addition, they usually operate as a book cafe but they also hold a small marche event called "Fuji Shoten" irregularly, offering items that are not usually in the store and time to interact with people. It is a place where various people come and go and and take a rest.
