SABAE MEGANE HOUSE

SABAE MEGANE HOUSE is a lacquered old folk house inn in the Kawada area of ​​Sabae city. They renovated an old vacant house and turned it into an inn where you can enjoy eyeglasses in the town of eyeglasses. There are two Japanese-style rooms and a dormitory, and the entire building can be reserved for up to a maximum of 14 people. Basic amenities are also available ◎ The original building was a traditional Japanese traditional house built by shrine carpenters who built and repaired shrines and temples, and the ceiling and floor of the building are lacquered. In addition, it is a large mansion where you can enjoy a leisurely stay while coming in contact with the traditional crafts of the production area, such as glasses made by local craftsmen, Japanese paper, and bamboo decorations. The highlight of the stay is the experience of trying out 100 different pairs of Sabae brand glasses, which are rarely sold outside the prefecture. This is the only inn in Japan where you can enjoy glasses in a private space that feels like home.
