Craft Invitation JR Fukui Station tour is now on sale!


The Hokuriku Shinkansen has finally been extended to Tsuruga Station, and in anticipation of more and more people getting off at JR Fukui Station, we have started selling tours departing from JR Fukui Station!

Echizen Lacquerware and Echizen Washi Craft Tour with Calligraphy Experience


The Kawada and Imadate districts are towns with a history of 1500 years and where industry continues to be passed down. Lacquerware Shrine, which enshrines the god of lacquerware, and Okata Shrine and Otaki Shrine, which enshrine the god of paper, have been loved by craftsmen and other locals.
On this tour, why not discover the connection between Echizen lacquerware and Echizen washi paper through workshops and experiences guided by craftsmen?

Echizen ware and Echizen chest of drawers craft tour where local sake connects production areas


The Echizen region of Fukui Prefecture has been designated as one of the "Six Ancient Kilns of Japan," and is well known for Echizen lacquerware, pottery, and cutlery. Come and try to make your own sake cup with the guidance of a craftsperson. Afterwards, go onto taste the region's traditional dishes at a soba restaurant and modern bar, try sake at a local sake brewery, and visit a chest-making workshop.
